The drive gear mounted on the stepper drives a larger gear and thus achieves a 3:1 reduction. So if the large gear is to turn once, the small one on the stepper must turn 3 times.
Due to this reduction, the feed wheel attached to the large gear wheel has more power and the extruder does not jump back as quickly. From the basic principle like a titanium extruder. In order to further increase the conveying force and the load on the filament, a second conveying wheel is used here, which rotates in the opposite direction to the first one. This means that the filament is gripped and conveyed on both sides.
The advantages are obvious. More conveying force, less motor load due to the reduction.
Please note that after installation you need to reset your feed rates (e-Steps). The basic steps for this extruder are 415, you can change them in the Marlin or simply insert the code: "M92 E415" as the start code.
